Marlin
are caught and tagged and released daily off the Kona coast. Inhabiting Kona's cobalt blue waters are the acrobatic striped marlin, the powerful Pacific blue marlin (occasionally weighing in over 1,000 pounds) and the black marlin. In addition to marlin, there are many other exciting big game fish, such as the beautiful spearfish, Pacific sailfish, the ferocious ono (wahoo), the wild and colorful mahimahi, the tackle-testing ahi (yellowfin tuna), and several other species of tuna. Kona's variety of big game, blue water fish appeals to the experienced angler and the novice alike.
